I got a Game Boy from Facebook Marketplace along with some Atari computer gear I was after. I never had a Game Boy. I was well into university by the time the Game Boy was released in 1989, and I also had a full-time job, so my free time for gaming was limited.

This Game Boy had seen better days. I call it my grungy Game Boy. Its plastic is dirty and yellow, its buttons are dirty, its screen lens is scratched, and its battery cover is missing. Who knows if it even works. So, I decided to restore it. This post chronicles my upcoming step-by-step restoration process. As I complete these steps, I will update this blog and conclude with what I learned through the process. Drop us a comment, especially if you have restored a Game Boy, and share with us how it and what you learned.
